Luminous Drive turns your phone into a GPS speedometer and a trip recorder. Watch your speed, distance, and heading in a clear digital or analog dashboard, or switch to Heads-Up Display mode for a windshield reflection while you drive.
Record any drive and relive it later. Luminous Drive saves your route locally, then opens it in Journey Explorer: an interactive map that colors your path by speed or elevation, with a graph you scrub to see where you sped up, slowed down, or climbed. Follow your live position on the map, check your distance and duration, and compare drives side by side in your track list.
Bring drives in from other apps. Import GPX files one at a time or in bulk, right from the share sheet or the in-app picker. Large imports run in the background with a progress notification, so you keep using your phone while they finish. Export any recorded drive as a GPX file, complete with per-point speed and heading, to use in other tools.
Speed, distance, and heading update in real time from GPS, with a hybrid compass fallback on devices where it helps. Pick your unit (km/h, mph, or m/s), lock your preferred orientation, and choose from five high-contrast color themes for the dashboard.
Luminous Drive runs ad-free, with no account and no cloud required. Your recorded drives stay on your device unless you choose to export or share them. Location tracking runs only while the app is open or a drive is recording, so it never drains your battery in the background at other times.
GPS and compass accuracy depend on device hardware and signal conditions, and can be limited in tunnels, parking garages, or dense buildings. Luminous Drive is for informational use and does not replace your vehicle's own instruments. Always follow local traffic laws and keep your attention on the road.
